How fast is Google on the web?

Google is setting new standards every day. Today I learned that there internet speed is roughly 40 times faster than a typical office in North America.

For example they can download a full HD movie in less than 2 minutes.

SMALL TOWN BIZ IS MAKING A COME BACK!

With every consumer now capable of pulling out their mobile device and letting their community know about the good or bad experience they just had, we are all in jeopardy. We are back to the days where everyone knows who treats customers well and who really could care less about the end user.

Best business plan ever = CARE about the end-user!

It’s really not easy to find the time however if we/I don’t figure it out soon we/I are done.

This concept alone is driving me every day to improve as I go. For any customer that I have ever wronged, I am truly sorry!

Why do MFP’s print slower than advertised?

In a nutshell the architecture of an MFP truly defines its actual performance. Some manufactures have done a much better job designing the print controller yet none have perfected it yet. Advertised speed is determined by how fast a device can copy one (single-sided) 8.5 X 11 sheet. This job really doesn’t represent a typical day in most offices.

Don’t be surprised if your device actually prints at 50% of advertised speed.

As I said some perform better than others.

Tip of the day; Go to www.buyerslab.com to find the truth!

Printer OEM Supplies

Today I had yet another customer show me an After Market Toner for their MFP. Today it happened to be a Canon B&W MFP.

I am seeing this more and more. I know that customers are expecting OEM parts & supplies when they purchase or lease a new or used MFP for their office.

Canon’s web site clearly states this will possibly void your warranty and certainly negatively impact the performance of the device.

Tip of the day: Make sure your supplier uses OEM parts and supplies! Most importantly, GET IT IN WRITING.

Cheers

When to find the time to care about your customer?

If you really TRULY care about your customers then you will find the time in your day to show your AUTHENTIC gratitude.

I know work is busier than ever however we are taking lethal chances by not securing the life long trust and commitment of our customer base. This negligence will for sure, without a doubt catch up with you. We are all working in the most socially connected time since the 50’s.

If you care you will watch less TV, sleep one hour less, skip that coffee break ect.

The time is available. Do you really care?

Monetize What?

Lately I have been reading a lot about monetizing on-line efforts. All that I have really seen are people/business acting like high school boys and just trying to close as fast as they can. Where is the value in that? In this new economy customers are far too aware of these desperate plays for their business. Where is the quality content? Why not take some time to ensure the end customer will feel good about their experience with you as a vendor? If they are blow away by your commitment to their customer sat then they will tell others. Here is an old concept that has seemed to elude most companies for sometime now, CARE!

Show a customer that their business is important to you. Trust me when I say that if you have to fake this emotion for someones commitment to give you money in exchange for your product, services or promises then get out of business today. You will be exposed eventually! We are back to that small town mentallity again where if Joe feels that he was ripped off by a vendor he just dealt with he may post his experience on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr ect.

Guess what? You’re busted!

It’s time to actually go that extra mile for your customer. I don’t even mean some fabricated Marketing ploy or a BS promotion, I mean something unexpected. Do this and you will have a customer for life. In this competitive landscape that is as good as gold.

Cheers

Ben Bowen
